Blank Slides shuffling between groups

Aug 05, 2013

Has anyone run into this problem where slides are shuffling without being commanded to?

Specifically, I have a quiz in my course that has six question groups. Each group starts with two blank slides, each featuring an audio clip, and then on the third slide participants have to answer a question about the slides. Everything is fine when I preview, but after publishing sometimes the blank slides will be skipped or will shuffle into other question groups or to the end of the group. For example, I'll take the quiz a first time and the second blank slide in group 3 will be skipped, but then I take it again and group 3 is fine, but a blank slide in group 1 shows up after the question. Then I'll take it yet again and everything is fine!

Has anyone ever run into this problem? I'm not sure if it's an issue with Quizmaker specifically, or maybe there's just a bug in our system, but I've run into enough issues on my end with this project that I suspect something may be off with my software.

You can check out the quiz for yourself (attached) although I don't promise it will do the skipping thing for you.

Hi Whitney,

I tried it a few times through and didn't have any slides appear skipped or out of order.

A couple things to try and consider when Quizmaker is behaving erratically:

Let me know if either of those work for you!

Hi Louise,

This discussion is a bit older, so I think we'd want to start fresh with you knowing what update/version of Quizmaker you're using, how you're viewing the published output (web, LMS, etc.) if you're testing in the intended environment or viewing it locally. And ultimately we may need to take a look at the .quiz file to see how it's set up and behaving. You can share it here using the "add attachment" button at the bottom of the forum reply or you can send it along to our Support Engineers here.
