Branching by choice with unlimited attempts in Quizmaker 13.

Jul 06, 2018

I have a quiz with one question. (Q1.1)

This question has 3 options. 1 and 3 false, 2 correct.

I want to give tailored feedback to each option on a series of blank slides.

I want the use to retry the question until the right option is chosen.

Therefore at the end of the blank slides for options 1 (Q1.3) and 3 (Q1.7) I send the user back to the quiz so that they can give it another try.

At the end of the blank slides for option 2 (Q1.5)  I send the user to the last slide (Q1.8) and/or finish the quiz.

The problem is that if I enable unlimited attempts, branching actions related to false options are never triggered. After choosing options 1 or 3 the user just stays on the slide.

If I limit the attempts the user has to consume all those attempts before an action is triggered for a false slide and can still not discover the 3 options.

This can be solved a bit by setting no scores, but then the first choice remains set even if the user is sent back to the question. So the user cannot discover the right answer.

Is there a solution to do what I intend?

I could do it all in Articulate presenter, but then I cannot really check that the user has selected the right answer to complete the sco.

Attached a version with a scored question.
