Can you resume a course but not the quiz?

Dec 16, 2011

Hi All,

I have a course in which the last slide is a quiz with a print results button, including the "Enter Name" dialog. If the user prints the certificate and leaves the course, two odds things happen on the resume. First, the "Enter Name" prompt is already open. And second, the buttons that should be on the Quizmaker player are missing.

I think the explination is that there is resume data for the "Enter Name" prompt, so that's why it's automatically opening, and I don't believe the prompt is supplying the player data needed to bring up the correct buttons so it's using the quiz.swf defaults.

So I was wondering if it was possible to force a quiz to start on "slide 1" everytime it loads, essentially turning off resume for the quiz only. I'll need to keep resume enabled for the presentation.

Thanks,

~A

I am building a course with the following format:

short video - 5 questions - short video - 5 questions - short video - 5 questions - end of course  and print certificate

As I am new to Articulate software my questions are:

1) are there clusters (or similar as used in Moodle)  to wrap the question segments in so that the quiz resumes after each video or how do I set the quiz to resume after each video (learner must answer questions correctly to progress to next segment or watch video again).

2) the post above mentions " a print results button, including the "Enter Name" dialog. If the user prints the certificate and leaves the course". Have these been created by Articulate or has the developer created these using their own coding?
