Changing the Likert scale labels
May 27, 2011
Putting together a Likert scaled survey. Right now the scale is labled 1, 2, 3, etc. Would like to change the scale, but I cannot figure out how to do that and following directions is not working.
In form view I clicked the SCALE button and entered the labels I would like to have. Clicked OK. Saved. Viewed in SLIDE VIEW and in PREVIEW. Nothing changed.
Tried again. This time I unchecked the "show number on scale" check box. Saved. Viewed in SLIDE VIEW and PREVIEW again. Numbers went away, but labels did not appear.
Saved entire Quiz. Closed Quizmaker. Reopened all. Same result.
What do I need to do to make the labels I entered appear on the screen?
Thanks, JP

Hello,
I am having the same issue, was this resolved?
Thanks!
Hi there Kerri!
I'm afraid I wasn't able to find a file or a case for Jeff, so I'm not sure if he was able to get this resolved or not.
Are you able to give us a little more information about what's happening for you? Also, if you can share your .QUIZ file here, or privately, we'd be happy to take a look at what's happening.
Thank you!
I tried the same thing as Jeff today. I entered my three labels, unchecked show numbers and only two of my labels showed up. Oddly, it was the first and the third. I tried respacing the labels in the list (consecutive lines then skipped a line) and the result was the same.
Any suggestions?
Hi there Karen,
Can you take a look at this thread and see if Jeanette's suggestion works for you?
If not, are you able to share the .QUIZ file here, so I can take a look? You can attach it to the thread by using the paperclip in your response, or by sending us the file with this form.
Thanks!
