Collect large field content

Hi,

I have a request to collect the answer to a question in a multi-line open text field.  It is a follow-up question to a binary yes/no question.  However, I need to collect this information only if the user answers yes.  Additionally, the content in the open text field should be written to a separate database from the LMS.  I don't see a way to insert a web object in a quizmaker file, so I could not use a blank slide and web code.  Has anyone used quizmaker to collect data that was not a part of the quiz iteself?
