Color Change for Wrong answers?

Jul 09, 2012

Is there a way I can change the color when the client selects a wrong answer? OR does quizmaker only allow you to use a default color scheme for both right and wrong answers?

Thank you.

Hi Stephanie! I'm sorry, right now it's not possible to show the right & wrong answers in different colors in Quizmaker. What you could do, though, is create a similar effect by customizing using blank slides and branching for your feedback, and deleting the standard "correct" and "incorrect" feedback in the question editor.

For example, check out the attached quiz. Here's what I did:

  • I created 2 blank slides after the question (one for correct feedback and one for incorrect).
  • On each of those blank slides, I inserted a screenshot that shows the answer in red (incorrect) or green (correct). To create these screenshots, I just modified my original question slide, did a preview, and then used snagit to capture the screen.
  • I also added a checkmark or X, plus some feedback text, on the blank slides.
  • On my original question slide, I applied branching on the correct/incorrect answers, so that the learner sees the appropriate slide depending on their answer. On slide 2, I also applied branching so that the learner skips over slide 3, since they wouldn't need to see that.

It's a bit more work than just using the standard feedback & behavior, but it might give you the effect you're looking for. Hope that helps!
