Customising the "You must answer this question" box and the like

Sep 23, 2011

If questions must be answered before moving on the student will get the "You must attempt this question" (or an appropriate phrase as decided by the author).  The problem I have is that this prompt - and other similar invalid response type messages - are appearing in a transparent grey box.  I appear unable to edit the characteristics of these boxes (colour, transparency etc).  They do not appear to be listed under the edit colours feature.  Is this possible?

Currently the box appears over the questions and the transparency makes it impossible to read.   Incidentally, another error box somewhere else comes up with what appears to be white text on a white background and I can't find how to edit that either!

Many thanks in advance.

Hi there James, and welcome! It sounds like the Quiz Frame has been sent to 100% transparent in the Quizmaker color scheme editor. (Often developers make the frame transparent if they want their PowerPoint slide master to show through from behind the quiz.) Unfortunately, the same color parameters also control the frame of the pop-up feedback messages, which is why those are showing up as transparent also.

To prevent the feedback pop-ups from showing as transparent, you could adjust the transparency percentage on the Quiz Frame so that it's no longer transparent. But this will of course mean that the quiz frame around your question slides will no longer be transparent either.
