Delaying Question answer submission
Apr 07, 2016
Hi,
We have a few multiple choice question quizzes and I was wondering about allowing submission of the quiz questions in one go.
Can we set the quizzes up so that the student is able to go back and review each answer before they finally submit their completed attempt? i.e. they don’t submit each answer separately but all 40 together when they are happy.
Is it also possible to allow them to skip questions they are unsure of? If we can we need to be able to let them submit ‘blanks’.
Thanks
Michaela

Sure Michaela.
By default, question slides in Articulate Storyline have a Submit button, meaning each question will be submitted one at a time for evaluation and feedback will be displayed immediately. If you want all the questions to be submitted at the same time at the end of the quiz, change the navigation controls from Submit buttons to Prev/Next buttons. Here's how.
Hi Leslie,
We are using Quizmaker in Studio '13, not Storyline - does that process still apply? Also can they miss out questions if they don't know the answer by moving to the next question?
Michaela
Hi Michaela,
Leslie is out today - but she must have had Storyline on the brain! As for Quizmaker, you can do the same thing the settings are just in a different spot. Here are directions for how to change it in Quizmaker. Also, if they don't answer or skip a question, and don't return to it - it'll be marked as "incorrect" if you choose the option to "Allow user to finish without answering all questions."
