Is there a way that i can embed video in Quizmaker?I can embed video in presenter, but I want to spcifically embed it into Quizmaker. Maybe there is a workaround somewhere??
But i actually want to embed a video. I have set up a server that hosts all my videos and then I just want to embed those in Quizmaker, instead of adding the physical video to the slide.
In presenter, I would click on insert web object, but there is nothing like that in quizmaker...
Ah, okay, I see what you're looking for now. Unfortunately, there's not currently a way to add web objects to Quizmaker. But you could add a hyperlink that would allow the learner to open the movie in a separate window. Would that work for your situation?
Unfortunately, that would not work for our learners. They are extremely computer illeterate, some cant even really read. So adding a hyperlink and playing the video in a new window would cause confusion. Our aim is to set up our courses so that the margin for error is zero, which is really difficult.
Couldn't you open an iFrame in a swf file, having the video play through the swf file which you can embed on the quizmaker slide? have not even tried this, just a thought from the dustbins of my mind...
CAn you give a bit more detail about what you are trying to accomplish, maybe a few of the "why's". That way, we might be able to suggest an approach that might work instead of having to create different files or labor intensive workarounds.
Well, we want to set up a lesson that requires the least amount of user input to accomplish.so we want to set up the course so that it moves from SCO to SCO automatically, thus cutting out the need for the user to click on teh next SCO.We only use videos in our lessons, followed by a quiz about each video. each lesson has about 3 videos and by implication will also have 3 quizzes.
This implies a few things:
1. The LMS (we use Moodle) should track more than one quiz
2. There should be a course breakdown in the LMS. When I use the Articulate template to show the course breakdown, it comes out really smaal in the player in the LMS. If there is a way that I can enlarge the player in the LMS, then this might be an option
3. The Lesson must automatically navigate from beginning to end
Simple SCORM Packager (SSP) takes care of point number 1 and 2
I cant find anything that helps me take care of point number three (maybe you know of a product that would allow me to set up my SCORM 1.2 courses to navigate automatically??). That is why I want to create the entire quiz in quizmaker. So what I was thinking is to insert (embed rather, we have a server that will host the video locally, so the download time is cut down. The bandwidth in South Africa really sucks) a video into the quizmaker slide. Say the video is 1 minute long. Then after one minute, the video will fade out using an animation, and the quiz will enter, using an animation. So the questions will only appeat once the video finishes. So this is a combination between the timing bar and animations. This strategy will take care of point 1 and most importantly number 3 because if i can create the entire lesson in quizmaker, it essentially rests on a single slide, which cuts out the need to navigate between SCOs. This still leaves me with number 2 unsolved, which I have no idea on how to solve.

Yep, you can add as many videos as you like to your quiz slides. Here's a tutorial that shows how.
Thanks Jeanette,

oh, alright.

thanks again!

Does this make sense?
