Essays - can users written answer be saved to their computer?

When you say "saved", are you looking for a way for users to print their answers and take it away with them, or are you looking for more traditional LMS-type tracking within the Essay answer? 

Not LMS tracking but just saving their essay answers onto their own computer?

I'm not aware of any way to save essay answers directly to a users computer. Might be a nice feature request though...

Peter is correct that there is no way to save essay answers directly to a users computer, but I had an idea that might work for you.  In QuizMaker you can edit your Pass Results and Fail Results by checking a box to allow users to email their results. 

You have to enter an e-mail that cannot be changed, but users will get an option at the end of the quiz to select an email application like Outlook, Gmail, Yahoo, etc. and can send their essay responses (the entire quiz results). Users can add their own email address so they receive a copy of their answer on the computer that receives the e-mail.

Do you think this workaround might work?

Hi,

We have a need exactly like Renee's - user enters an essay answer and we want to capture it for later review.

There may be several quiz slides during this presentation.

We're using Cornerstone OnDemand.
