Help: Fail Results Page shows Pass Results Icon/Language

Jul 04, 2013

When I take my quiz and fail, the results page shows the green check icon and pass language.  I went into Fail Results and viewed the properties and the language is  oriented to fail and the red X icon is present.  However, when I preview the slide my fail results continue to reflect pass results icon/language.

What have I done incorrectly to cause this error?

Help please

Welcome to E-Learning Heroes, Karen!

Can you share a little more information and clarification on the issue, please?

First, how are you viewing the quiz when you see the wrong language and results slide? It sounds like this is happening when you preview, but does this happen after you publish as well?

Also, are you viewing/previewing a local project file?

Please try to make sure you aren't working with files on network drives, or on any other external sources:

  • Work on your local drive (your C: drive). Working on a network drive or a USB drive can cause erratic behavior, including file corruption, loss of audio, and other unexpected behavior.
  • You should also make sure the directory path to your project files and your published output is less than 260 characters (for example C:\Articulate).
  • Avoid using special characters, accents or symbols in your file names (this includes spaces and underscores).

Additional information regarding "Naming Files, Paths, and Namespaces" in Windows operating systems can be found in the following Microsoft article.

Hi Christine and thank you for your reply!

How are you viewing the quiz when you see the wrong language and results slide:  I'm viewing the quiz in the QM preview mode, slide preview mode from PPT, and publishing to the web and to the LMS (Moodle).

Also, are you viewing/previewing a local project file?  Yes, I'm viewing locally, as well as in the LMS (Moodle). However, the Articulate files have "traveled" from laptop-to-flash drive-to PC-to Moodle...

For your suggestions, I'll check to ensure I"m not violating these guidelines.

Thank you and I look forward to your reply!

Karen
