I teach high school English online, and I want to create a Hot Spot question in which students click on the correct word in a sentence or correct sentence in a paragraph. What is the best way to bring in the text on which I would create the Hot Spot target? The only way I've been able to do that is to create a PowerPoint slide with the sentence/paragraph on it and save it as a .jpg or .png and then bring that into Quizmaker, but it doesn't always position well on the stage and then doesn't show up in the published version -- and/or the resolution is fuzzy. Any ideas? Thanks!
I was able to find a few articles that may be helpful with what you're trying to achieve. It certainly sounds like a fun and engaging feature to have in a quiz.
Here's a post on the topic. In the post, you'll find some links by David that may be helpful.
Also, here's a blog entry that may be appealing, as well.
Another option would be flash cards. Here's a guide on creating flash cards. I personally think this one would be pretty appealing to students. It's also simple and can be loaded into Quizmaker.
Have a look at those and let me know what you think!
