How to reuse the Question formating ?

Oct 10, 2011

Hi Folks,

I have created a a question in quizmaker. I then  went to "Slide View".

I then changed,

1) Shape Styles of the Question box

2) Font size and color of the Question itself.

I saved the question and closed it.

Now onwards I want that all questions I create(BTW, I will be creating 1000 questions) should be of same formatting which i did to first question(as above). Is there a way to accomplish this without doing the formatting of each question individually ?

I have also created around 300 question earlier, is there a way to format them in one shot using "Shape Styles" in Slide View ?

Thanks

Hi Rajesh,

If you open a question and then click View > Slide Master, you can make your formatting changes there, and then any new question you add which is based on that slide master will inherit the same characteristics.

Regarding the 300 slides you've already created, you might find that if you've made formatting changes to them earlier, the slide master changes might not affect them. But you could always use the Format Painter to quickly reapply formatting rather than repeating the same format changes over and over:

  1. In Slide View, select a textbox whose characteristics you want to copy.
  2. On the Home tab of the question editor, double-click the little paintbrush icon:
  3. Now click any other textbox to apply those same formatting changes. (If you want to apply the formatting changes to a textbox on a different slide, you can quickly & easily move among slides by clicking the Articulate button in the upper-left corner of Slide View, and then choose Edit Next Question or Edit Previous Question.)
  4. When you're done using the Format Painter, just click the paintbrush icon again to turn it off, or press Esc on your keyboard.
