How to Save Survey Data- Help

Sep 13, 2013

Hello all,

I am building a survey course which users will be prompted to take after completing another course. It's a feedback type survey course and one of the questions asks users to "expand" on the answer should they select yes.

My question is- how can I save the answer that the user types into the survey question without having the user print or save or email the answer?

I apologize if this has been covered in a previous post.

Kindest regards,

Shivani

Hi Ashley,

The course is deployed in an LMS. Right now I'm using Quizmaker and not Storyline, however, if Storyline allows me to achieve the results, I can use that also.

Google docs will not work.  Can you please expand on what you mean by "dependent on how they'll display the data recieved"?

Obtained/viewing the results from a quiz are easy.. I'm wondering if there is a similar way to access the results from a survey.

Sorry - I'm not able to articulate (ahem..) the question well, bit of a noob.

Hi Shivani,

Sorry to have confused you with Storyline links - using Storyline or Quizmaker - you should still be able to see survey results. You'll still need to include a results slide for the survey and how you do that in Quizmaker differs from Storyline.

What I meant by how your LMS displays the data is - where would they show the survey results vs. where they normally show quiz results. I'm not sure what LMS you're using, but you could always test in SCORM Cloud to ensuring the survey results are being communicated.

Here's an example of where they would appear in SCORM Cloud.
