HTML code showing up instead of commas

Jun 03, 2013

I have a quizmaker file that is in a course. In the quiz there is a fill in the blank in which the viewer must type in numbers with commas between the numbers. For example, A1,B0,G1.  When you go to review the quiz after completing it, your answer shows up as A1,B0,G1, (attached image).

We can not figure out why it is doing this. We have not seen this before. Please does anyone have an answer for it? Client is getting very angry.

thanks

Hi there Dawn,

That's a new one for me, too. Have you used similar responses in previous quizzes?

Also, are you able to replicate this behavior on your end, or is this only happening when your client views the course?

I also noticed that the quiz is inserted into a Presenter presentation. If you publish and upload the quiz from Quizmaker, does the same thing happen with the standalone quiz during review?

I've tested this in a Presenter presentation, as well as a standalone Quizmaker quiz and I haven't been able to reproduce the issue.

Can you tell me what web browser you're using when you see this issue, or what browser the client is using?

Thanks!

We could not replicate it at all. I have tried just doing the quiz and also in the presenter and could not replicate it. We have had this type of quiz before and not had this problem. We even tried copy and pasting from a word doc to see if that caused the problem, nope.

It a client of ours and this is the information we have from them:

IE 8, IE 9, and even the unsupported Chrome browser were used.  Flash versions used include 9.0.289, 11.5.502, 11.6.602, 11.7.700.

Any info would be great.

Hi Dawn,

That's really peculiar. Any chance you could share the project files with us, so we can see if we experience the same thing on our end?
