Incorrect response branch to previous blank slide

Dec 06, 2011

Is it possible to branch an incorrect response to a blank slide that is before the question? I've set up the branch this way, and it doesn't work when published. The Try Again button simply goes back to the same question. I've set up a Case Study with a follow-up question and my client would like the user to review the Case Study if they choose an incorrect response. My workaround at the moment is to have them use the Question Navigation to go back to the Case Study, but it's rather inelegant.  Thanks!

Hi Diana!

Seems like something that should work if you've configured the branching properly. But if you publish a Quizmaker ’09 quiz and find that question branching is not working, it is likely due to the Answer submission setting in  Navigation">Player Templates -> Navigation.  For question branching to work properly, you must select Submit one question at a time.  Here’s how:

  1. Open your Quizmaker quiz.
  2. Click the Player Templates button.
  3. Select the template you wish to use, and click the Edit button.
  4. Select the Navigation tab.
  5. Select Submit one question at a time, and click the OK button.
  6. Click the Close button to exit the Player Template Manager, and then republish your quiz.
