Keeps losing my slide design

Hello:
I am having an issue where my slide design keeps disappearing. I am actually seeing different variations of it in different places. It is driving me nuts!
Anyway, I am using the slide design from Jeanettes timed question theme, but when I preview and/or publish, it is losing the design theme. When I preview the slide it shows a different color (and I went into design and specifically set the color, and assigned it only to that question):
It is clearly changing it to blue in preview mode, but when the question is open (but not in preview), it looks fine:
Also notice on the right side in the above image: I took a screenshot of just the background and pasted that AS AN IMAGE FILE onto the question slide, and it STILL changed that!
Yet when I publish, it changes yet again, this time to a white background that makes the text unreadable:
It also reverts to this white background in the quiz preview thumbnail when I close the quiz:
This is just madness! Help! Any ideas?

Madness, indeed. You can try giving this a shot, but if that doesn't do the trick, feel free to upload your files and submit a case. You can do that here:

I tried that and still the same result. It is doing this in preview as well however, not just the published version, and the problem is a quiz slide within the quiz, not an actual PPT slide.
