You're wanting to limit the entire quiz to one attempt, correct?
Here's how you can set the entire quiz in Quizmaker to one attempt:
Click on "Quiz Properties". In the Quiz Properties window, make sure you're viewing the "Question Defaults" section. Here, you'll be able to adjust the amount of times you'd like users to be able to take the quiz.
Hmm. Ok. I'm actually inserting it into our LMS by Seertech. I might have to have a play around with the settings in there then if thats all thats required in Quizmaker.
If you're not inserting into Presenter, you may not be able to modify the revisiting or retry options for the quiz.
If that's the case, then you could allow as many attempts as you like for your questions, but the overall quiz won't function quite the same as a standalone quiz.
Can you let me know how you're distributing the quiz? Are you using Presenter or no?
If so, and you've used the method above to limit the quiz attempts, that should be all you need to do. However, if you have any trouble with this, just let me know.
Ahhh, yes. If you aren't inserting the course into Presenter, you'll have to try to limit it with the LMS, if they support that.
Sorry to say that Quizmaker in standalone mode won't really allow limitations on the actual quiz.
Curious, though, do you have access to Presenter at all? Not sure if it would work for you, but you could always insert it and make it appear to be a standalone quiz. Just a thought :)

Thanks Christine, but isnt that feature in reference to question attempts and not the whole quiz?
Hi Andrew,
Correct, that changes the default attempts for each question.
However, it sounds like you're inserting the quiz into Presenter. You can limit the entire quiz from the settings within Presenter.
Here's how:

Hi Christine,
No Im not using presenter. When I'm publishing, I'm using the "publish for LMS" function as SCORM 2004. Then loading the published content to our LMS.
So by the looks of it, it will probably be the LMS that will have to be amended to allow only 1 attempt?
Thanks for getting back to me with all of this
