Missing or incomplete results w/email opt of Survey in Quizmkr '09

Dec 26, 2011

I ran into 3 separate problems trying to get results emailed from the Survey:

1.)  No email is sent when using IE.  The Email package (outlook) does not even open from IE.  I'm sure this is an IE setting, but I don't know which one.

2.)  Switching to Safari, outlook does open and I do get a survey results email; but it either only includes 1 essay answer or none.  I have filled out both essay answers.  Both essay questions are set to 1500 characters.

3.)  When I press "Finish" the window does not close, even though that's what I have set in Quizmaker.

Welcome to Heroes, Melissa!

When you click the button to email your quiz results, you may find that nothing happens or possibly a blank email with no information is sent.

Quizmaker relies on client-side mail programs, such as Outlook, to send email results. With increasing browser security, it's difficult to ensure that the email results function works on every machine. The mail to function relies heavily on the client's environment.

For reliable and secure tracking of quiz results across a majority of platforms, Articulate recommends implementing a SCORM 1.2, SCORM 2004, or AICC compliant Learning Management System or Articulate Online. Feel free to test drive a 30 day free trial of Articulate Online.

If printing results will be enough for you, did you enable the print results function in Quizmaker?

See the "Allow user to print results" section in the link below:

If you already have that feature enabled and you're just not seeing the answer data, it sounds like you may just need to enable the review quiz feature:

And if the Finish button in your published Quizmaker '09 quiz does not close the browser window as expected, please review the following article for solutions to this issue:

That's quite a bit of information, but I hope it's helpful. Please feel free to ask any further questions. Thanks!
