Multiple Hot Spots?
Feb 18, 2014
I have a question that I would like to create into a hot spot question. Based on reading various forums and blogs, it's not possible to do that in Quizmaker 09. I have already purchased Studio 13 but haven't loaded it yet. Does quizmaker 13 have the ability for a multiple hot spot question?
I've been heads down creating courses and so far haven't had the luxury of time to load 13 and learn it. If Quizmaker 13 will do it, I'll bite the bullet now rather than when the dust settles.
Thanks for your help!

Hi Carla!
There was a thread on simulating this effect in '09, but yes, you can have multiple hot spots in '13
Thanks for responding so quickly! I have actually used the thread option in other quiz questions and it works great. This question is a paragraph of text that I want the learner to click on the sections of text that are incorrect so I guess I need to use 13...
Since my course was built in 09, will I be able to create a quiz in 13 and put it in an 09 course?
You will not Carla. It is not reverse compatible due to all of the changes that were made to the player, etc.
You cannot have Studio '09 and Studio '13 on the same machine either, just wanted to mention that.
Thanks Leslie. I have downloaded Studio 13 so that I can have multiple hot spots BUT, the reason I need multiple hot spots is I need all the hot spots to be correct. It appears it will only allow one correct answer?
If it's graded, that would be correct. If you just need a multiple hot-spot question with feedback, then you could turn the grading off and provide feedback by choice.
I'm not sure of what your ultimate goal is though and if that will assist you.
Thanks Leslie,
What I have is a sample advertisement then I was hoping to have the learner click on the words in the ad that are disriminatory. Like a proof reading exercise. I guess, at least for now, I'll make it a multiple response question instead. Where do I suggest enhancements?
