No effects option on ribbon in Quizmaker '13!

Jul 22, 2015

Hi, I'm trying to alter the highlight colour on a Pick Many question...I've been in Design and followed the instructions but it didn't work.  I then found more advice that told me to go to the Home tab and then select Selection State from the 'effect' section, next to the Player and Publish bits...but it's not there!  Have I in some way deleted it?  Where can I find it to re-instate it?  Any help welcome, thanks.

Hi Michaela!

The hover color actually corresponds to whatever color you have defined as "Control 1" in your theme colors (see screenshot). So if you want to change it, all you have to do is change the colors that is in that slot (see screenshot).

To do so :

1. Go back to the quiz home page and click on the Design tab (see screenshot)

2. Open the Colors drop down menu and select Create New Theme colors (see screenshot)

3. Choose the color you want for the hover state

Hi Michaela!

I'm not seeing any 'lingering' blue when I change the color as shared above.

I'm attaching my file here for you to take a look at.

If you have a .quiz file you'd like me to look at, please share.

Thanks for that Leslie.  My question is a Pick Many one - when you select each of the answers, they are highlighted with the blue glow.  I've changed the control but it doesn't change the colour of the highlight answers.   It's not the hover colour, as on other types of questions, it's the actual selection colour.  Maybe it's not possible for the Pick Many question type.
