Numbering your quiz and items from your question bank
Jun 17, 2015
So I have seen a lot of people on here trying to figure out a way to number slides without having to do it manually by each slide. This is also pretty useful for numbering questions in quizmaker which is where I used it. The way that I found to do it was using the master slider which has a tutorial here. Using the master slider I then created a variable on the quiz format page of the master slider (if you are just trying to number pages, it can be done on the overall master slide). I created a counter variable, which can be seen by clicking the link. For the object during "when click", I set it to the submit button. You may need to fool around with the counter addition and subtraction because I have found quirks with how it counts pages, but overall this has been an effective method as a question number/ page number counter. If there is any more confusion let me know!

Thanks for sharing G! Looks like this is for Storyline quizzes and not Quizmaker for anyone that pops in.
Right! I have been looking for ways to adding a counter variable in Quizmaker, unfortunately without any success.
Hi Tong!
The closest option would be to use the "Question List" option in the Quizmaker '13 player options. This will not number the questions, but it will give learners a better idea of where they are and how many questions there are in the quiz.
Another option would be to modify the name of the question to include a number. Of course, if you're randomizing questions, this probably won't work for your project.
If you'd like to see additional options in Quizmaker '13, please let our development team know.
