Please choose a valid Quizmaker .quiz, .quiz template or .aqm file

Oct 21, 2013

Good Day,

I am running the trial version of the Quizmaker software.

I read about how to import questions via Excel in the following post:

http://community.articulate.com/tutorials/products/importing-questions.aspx

I was able to use the template to create my questions. I have saved the file as a .xls file.

When I go to import the data, I get an error: Please choose a valid Quizmaker .quiz, .quiz template or .aqm file

Is this error caused by the fact I am using a trial software? I do not get any errors messages that my Excel spreadsheet is incorrect.

If anyone has any suggestions, I would appreciate it.

Thanks!

Tanya

Hi Tanya and welcome to Heroes!

Our trial version is a full version of the software, so you shouldn't be running into any problems because of that.

I'm not able to replicate the behavior you're describing, but if you'd like to share your .xls file here with me I'll be happy to test yours to see if it's something with the file itself. Additionally, if you'd prefer not to post it in the forums you can share it with me here.

Thanks Tanya, and I just replied through the Support case, but I also wanted to share here that you were using Quizmaker 09 and the import Questions feature from an Excel document is only available in Quizmaker 13. The article you shared was a part of the Quizmaker 13 tutorials, and for tutorials on Quizmaker 09 they are a bit lower in the list on the right hand side, or linked directly here.
