Prevented a user from moving on

Sep 26, 2011

Hi guys

I am building a new course and I want to stop users from moving on if they fail a quiz. I cannot for the life of me see how it is done! is this possable to do with quiz or do I need to find another way of doing it?

Thank you!

Keith

Hi Keith! So your quiz is embedded in a Presenter course? Do you want the user to exit the course automatically if they don't pass?

If so, then you can go to the quiz placeholder slide, and at the bottom you'll see a Properties area. Click that, and a window will pop up. In the lower half of that window, you'll see some options, and one of them is to choose the Finish behavior for both passing and failing. You can have the window browser window close, or send the learner to a URL, or send them to a different slide in the course:

Hi Jeantte,

thanks for the quiz reply

Yes the quizzes are embedded into the powerpoint , however, what i am trying to achive is the effect that if they fail the quize in makes them take it again. (for a particuler standard)

So for instance Fred, takes our course and completes the quiz, scoring 75%, the pass mark is 80%, instead of taking him to the next slide, it takes him back to the quiz or to the start of the section to re read.

Doesnt seem to complex, but I am struggling to find a solution for this :/

Thanks!

Keith
