Printing the Results Page

Aug 19, 2015

Hey there:

So, I'm having trouble understanding the "Prompt the user for their name before printing" feature works in the Results slide options. My client wants a stand-alone Quizmaker quiz that he can post on his company's intranet. Rather than designing a certificate, I figured I'd use the "Allow user to print results" feature that's already an option in Quizmaker. However, I'm noticing two problems:

1. All of the quiz questions and the user's results on each quiz question appear in the pop-up window (after the user clicks "Print Results" in the published course), despite my having turned off the "Allow user to review quiz" option; and

2. Nowhere do I see a place for a user to enter his name before printing the results.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Brandon,

You should see that pop up appear just before the print results page is generated as a new HTML file.

Turning off the allow user to review quiz does not impact the print results, as by design that is going to show all the users answers. The review quiz functionality is what brings them back through each screen to see how they answered correctly/incorrectly.

Hi Brandon,

Thanks for reaching out here again - I did a bit more digging and found the issue has been reported to our QA team recently. It seems that closing the course and republishing it allows the print name prompt to appear. I have included this thread in the report filed with our QA team, but please take advantage of that workaround and please make sure you're also using the latest update of Quizmaker '13, update 6.
