If you are experiencing unexpected issues using Articulate software, here are some tips for managing your files which can help prevent issues.
1. Work on your local drive (your C: drive). Working on a network drive or a USB drive can cause erratic behavior, including file corruption, loss of audio, and other unexpected behavior.
2. You should also make sure the directory path to your project files and your published output is less than 260 characters (for example C:\Articulate).
3. Avoid using special characters, accents or symbols in your file names.
Additional information regarding "Naming Files, Paths, and Namespaces" in Windows operating systems can be found in the following Microsoft article:
When creating a Quizmaker quiz or Engage interaction from inside PowerPoint /Presenter, the project file (.quiz or .intr) will be created in the same folder your PowerPoint project resides. The .quiz or .intr is needed for users to edit the project. You must create a package from Articulate Presenter and place this package on your thumb drive to share with your colleagues. After extracting the contents for the package, any attempt to edit the quiz or interaction, Articulate Presenter will simply open the version in the extracted folder.
More on the Articulate Presenter Package is outlined in the following link.
Copied all the files from the project to my thumb drive and then copied all the files from the thumb and saved to a folder on a colleagues computer.
Using the colleagues computer course works fine, allows me to edit preview etc without any problems. Use the send to articulate project to send the project to another folder on the colleagues computer and it does not allow editing of one of the quizzes. Looking at all the files in the zip that was sent it only copied one of the quizzes not both (there are two)hence problem editing.
This is all being done locally without using the shared drive.
If the Send to Articulate Package is not including one of the .quiz or .intr files, this would indicate the quiz or interaction file was either moved or renamed after it was created. Clicking on the Edit in Quizmaker or Edit in Engage from the PowerPoint slide will give you the option (from your system) to locate the file. Locating the file will relink after Saving and Returning to Presenter and therefore should include the file when creating an Articulate package.
Need some help, it is still not working prioperly. I have a folder on the local drive, if I send an articulate package to another folder on the same drive, it does not move the quizes from the original folder.
Let me explain what I am trying to do perhaps there is a better way of doing this. Will be setting up courses to train our colleagues on various SOP's.
I have a "SOP" template that people will be using to create a SOP course for upload into the LMS. . The idea is to open the template, change the wording on a few slides, attach the SOP, change the questions on one quiz, adjust the wording on a second quiz and publish the course for upload. I need to avoid creating the course from scratch, too time consuming.
Quizmaker or Engage files will not get included when repackaging a second time. I recommend you read my blog article regarding this. The article includes a detailed explanation as to why the files are not included. In addition you can download my free utility Articulate users can install as an add-in to their PowerPoint. In short, the add-in will attempt to automatically relink all Engage interactions and quizzes so a repackage will include all.

Thanks Brian,
That wasn't it. If I ceate on my computer, save it to a flash drive and bring it over to the other folks computers the same error occurs.
Where does the quiz get saved to?
Speaking/experimenting with the IT guru, the quiz is being saved somehwere other than the articualte project folder that is being created/saved.
Thanks
Mike
