Problems inserting quiz into PPT

Nov 05, 2012

I am trying to insert a quiz into a powerpoint presentation.  I opened an existing presentation in PPT.  Entered a new slide. Clicked on blank slide. Went to Articulate in ribbon bar, clicked on Quizmaker Quiz, Create New and followed all the steps to name and create. When I was finished, I hit Save Adn Return to Presenter.  Then closed PPT.  Went to Articulate Quizmaker on my computer, went under Open A Recent Quiz and found the quiz I just created.  Opened it. Went to Publish in the ribbon bar.  In new dialogue box, opened the presentation I wanted to insert the quiz into, clicked on bubble "Insert as a slide in the presentation" and clicked on publish.  Waited a few minutes and then viewed presentation.  The quiz I created was not inserted.  What am I doing wrong?

Welcome to E-Learning Heroes, Kelli!

First, you may want to make sure you have the Presenter Communicator addon enabled in PowerPoint. Please follow the instructions in this article to ensure that your Articulate add-ins are properly enabled in PowerPoint.

Even though the quiz placeholder slide was not generated when you initially created the quiz, the quiz file itself will still be generated in the same folder where your PowerPoint file is stored.  Therefore, after enabling your Articulate add-ins in PowerPoint, you can add the quiz file to your presentation in this manner:

  1. Go to Articulate > Quizmaker Quiz.
  2. Then click the Add Existing button.
  3. Browse to the folder where you PowerPoint file is stored, and locate the quiz file that you previously created.
  4. Select the quiz file, and click the Open button to insert it into your presentation.
  5. Click the Close button to exit the Quizzes and Interactions dialog.

If you're still unable to import your quiz after trying the steps I've provided, please let us know.

Thanks!
