I would like to publish a Quizmaker Quiz in Word but the Publish icon on my ribbon is greyed out - all I can do is preview the Quiz. What do I need to do to activate the Publish icon?
Sounds like you'll need to open the actual .QUIZ file rather than open it through PowerPoint. The Publish option should then be available. Let us know if not...
I'm having the same problem. When I create the quiz from within Presenter 13, then edit the quiz in Quizzmaker, the publish option is not available (I need to create a Word file for client review). I have tried to open Quizzmaker after closing my PowerPoint file, but I don't know where the Quizzmaker file was stored when I went back to PowerPoint. It is not in the same location as my PowerPoint file.
Hi Doug! When you insert a Quizmaker quiz into your Presenter course, a copy of the original .quiz file is stored within the course's .ppta file; check out this article for more information on that. You can actually extract that quiz file so that you can work on it within Quizmaker.
When I create a standalone quiz, it is defaulted to save in my Documents > My Articulate Projects folder. If you're working in Quizmaker, you can choose Save As and you'll be able to see and/or change its location.
Does that help at all?
(edited to correct my spelling of your name- oops, Friday) :)
Thanks for the quick response - and for the spelling correction :)
My situation is a little different in that I want to publish the latest quiz that is stored within the .ppta file, but when I open it from PowerPoint, the publish option is not available.
I see- so you'd like to just publish the Quiz outside of your entire presentation. You should be able to open your .quiz right from Quizmaker on your desktop. Within Quizmaker, you can publish the quiz as a standalone item.
Let us know if you are able to pull it up in Quizmaker, otherwise that's where the extraction tool might come in handy.
