Qualifier Question

Oct 25, 2016

I am making a quiz in which students have to go through an online module in a separate location before they take the quiz. I would like for the first question to ask if they have been through the online module. If they answer "no" I would like for the quiz to end immediately.  I do not want this question to have any bearing on their final score because of legal issues they must score a 90%, but when I branch the no response to the end of the quiz, it tells me that they pass. Is there a way to have a question hold no point value, and be branched to the end?

Hi Catherine and welcome to Heroes! Happy to have you here!

When you set up your Results slide, you can decide which quiz questions are included in the final score. Take a look at this article for more information on how to set up a Results slide.

For your qualifier question, I would set it up as a True/False (Yes/No) question with Feedback by Choice. If the user clicks "No," then you could direct them to a custom slide (not the Results slide) with text that instructs them to close the browser.
