Question pool and individual feedback slides

May 03, 2013

I'm struggeling with the following problem and hopw somebody can support me...

I have a pool of 12 questions. For each question I made 2 feedback slides (based on blank slide) - one for the correct and one for the incorrect answer, I brached everything and made the correct settings. The quiz work well if I publish all questions.

Now my problem: I would like to randomize the questions and from the pool of the 12 only 5 shall be taken. But the problem is that quimaker does not realize that the feedback (blank) slide are not questions and now ot take always a mix from the questions and feedback slides....

I treid to work with groups - one group was always 1 question and the 2 feedback slide, so that I had 12 groups. But how can I randomize groups, that only 5 are taken?

Does anybody has an idea how I can solve my problem?

Many Thanks,

Hi Gudrun,

You can set the feedback at question level - both correct and incorrect feedback responses. That way you don't need a separate slide to contain the feedback - it's just a pop up.You need to set the quiz to 'submit one question at a time'.

Here's the tutorial on how to do it.

If this is what you want, then it's easy to randomise questions from a pool of questions, and it sounds like you know how to do that.

Hi Sarah,

Thnaks for your fast answer.

Yes, I know this option, but this is not what I want, because then the user only get the correct answer at the end of the quiz ans only if he clicks on "Review Quiz" button. That is the reason Ihave created feedback slides whit the correct answer, which should be displayed after each response. But now I cannot randomize the questions from the pool of question, because the feedback (blank) slides are included as questions.....

Does anybody know another option?

Thanks and Best regards,

This has been a long-standing issue with QuizMaker.  Articulate, are you listening?  Many on this forum would appreciate a solution for this issue.  In essence, the question slide and its feedback slides need to be treated as a UNIT, to be randomized with the other question slides/"units".

Thank you for considering this.
