Question Text will not display in published quiz

I have a quiz with 13 questions.  I use pools with 3 questions each with each pool set for random.  All questions are multiple choice.    I have one pool where the question text in the PUBLISHED slide will not show but the answers do.  What is even more strange is that I have deleted and inserted the question in multiple ways, rearranged the question in the pool, tried different wording (it's a simple text question), colors, etc. and it displays fine in the slide view but when in the published quiz, the question is always completely blank.   Why this one question, I have no idea but perhaps someone else does.   Thanks.
