Quiz as an evaluation

Sep 16, 2015

 Hi,

I am using a Quiz as a course evaluation, however I am having some concerning issues when it is converted and opened on the LMS (learning management system).

The issue is that when users select the "no thanks" option they should be able to complete the unit.  This however is prompting a incomplete status, and users can not complete the course.

Not until the user completes the entire (optional) evaluation will their score be processed. Is this an effect of the LMS or the Settings I am using? Are there specific settings in the quiz or publishing which will correct this glitch?

Thanks

No I am talking about the particular settings that will allow users to complete the evaluation if they choose to or if the user chooses not to. Is it an incorrect assumption that if the quiz(evaluation) offers a question which reads " Do you wish to complete an evaluation" Complete or No Thanks. That both these questions should answer as the correct answer choice so that users can have the option to take the evaluation or not.

So is there a way to make the quiz(evaluation) optional and also offer users a passing/ complete status no matter what they choose.

Hi Kandice,

There isn't a way to allow for more than one correct answer if that is set up as a question type - and there isn't partial scoring in Quizmaker either.  You can make the question unscored or optional as described here. Within Quizmaker it'll communicate course completion to a learning management system (LMS) when the learner reaches the result slide. So you'll likely need to include at least one question that is scored to have the user be shown as complete.

Also, as an FYI responding via email includes your signature here and you're welcome to update the post and remove it if you wish.
