Quiz creation problem

Aug 31, 2020

Hi, Heroes!

I'm a little bit new one in Artculate, constantly studying and trying to create e-Learning courses. Faced one problem and, actually, did'n find any answer on forum. May be somebody can guide me in a right direction.

I've created a quiz with drag-and-drop and drop-down questions/answers. The issue is that, i.e in drag-and-drop puzzle I have similar answers for different questions: What colour is a leaf? - GREEN; What colour is a cucumber? - GREEN. So, while matching "GREEN" answer with those questions sometimes I get CORRECT results. But sometimes - WRONG. I think that it is related to exact "GREEN" answer should have been chosen to match with the question.

The same situation with drop-down answers. For example, I have some periods: 1 week, 1 month, 1 year. In two of four question the answer is the same - 1 week. But, at the end it shows me WRONG answer.

How can I manage this situation with quiz creation? Please assist on advice or any kind of guidance.

Many thanks in advance for response and support!

Hello Igor and welcome to E-Learning Heroes 😊

Sounds like you nailed it! Matching drag and drop and matching drop-downs must have 1:1 answers. So, if there are 'duplicates', the user can get them wrong.

One idea is to use a free-form drag and drop with the drop targets being the items that could have multiple responses, such as Green in your example. I've created a quick sample file to demonstrate this idea.

If you have a sample file to share to demonstrate your design, we'd be happy to take a look as well.
