Quiz does not show result

Mar 27, 2013

Hi,

I have some strange problem with quizes: when user complete quiz and tries to get results, spinning wheel appears (like when it is loading some data) and nothing else happens.

Very strange is one thing - user complete two quizes with no problem and the same user gets "spinning wheel" in thirth quiz.

Have somebody idea what could cause this?

Thanks for all responses.

Welcome to the community, Petr!

It sounds like it may be related to the system the learners are using to view the content. Does this happen for all users, or only certain ones? For the users that are experiencing the spinning issue, are they using similar browsers?

Do you experience the same problem if you test the content on your machine?

Also, how are you publishing the quiz? Are you uploading the content to a web server, LMS, CD, etc.?

Please try the suggestions provided in the following article and let me know if the issue continues:

Articulate Support - Quizmaker quiz in published presentation does not load during playback

Thanks and welcome again!

Hi Christine,

it happened to small group of people and not every time. We have case, when one men did two quizes correcrtly and when he want to finish the thirth, the "spinning circle" appears and he stucked. Unfortunately I don't have access to their computers so I don't know what system they have exact, but usualy configuration is OS Windows 7 + IE (unknown version).

I tried to replicate this situation, but i wasn't successful. I tried different browsers (Firefox, Opera, Chrome, Konqueror, IE) and differenet operating systems (Windows 7, Linux - OpenSuSE) but everything seems OK. In our coumpany we all have 64 bits system, so it may depends on architecture.

I don't think this is one of described issues in link you posted. I found one blog post: http://www.articulate.com/blog/studio-09-update-9/ and it seems be very similar problem (in comment below text). About two hours ago we updated version and republish few quizes so we wait if this update fix it or not. We publish quizes in our elearning system (we developed it) as Flash web content and read data form it by JavaScript, but JavaScript should be OK, becouse "spinning wheel" appers before javascript is started.

Thanks for any your idea

Hi Petr,

Thanks for the information

It definitely sounds like it may be system-specific, if that's the case. It would be great if we could get some details from one of the users that's having difficulty with the quiz. If you do see this happen again, try to find out what browser they're using (and find out if this happens when they try in a different browser) and what version of Flash they have installed.

Glad to hear you found that article and you were able to update the quiz. If you do continue to experience issues, or if this seems to resolve the problem, please let me know.

Thanks again , Petr!
