Quiz inside Presenter... trying to output to SQL database

Jul 14, 2011

Hi, I have searched the forums but unable to find any posts on what I am trying to do.  My company has created a quiz in quizmaker and then published to Presenter 09.  Instead of emailing the results, we want the results to write to a sql database.  Has anyone had any luck doing this?

Hi Jason and welcome to Heroes,

Some of our customers are successfully sending Quizmaker results via PHP or by using a database, but these methods are not supported by Articulate.  You can learn more about these methods here:

I spent many hours reading and trying to implement the solutions suggested on the forums to get QM quiz results to a MySQL database. I could never get it to work. Finally, in frustration I hired a programming company to create a solution. They did a fantasic job, both to track quizzes directly from Quiz Maker and from QM quizzes embedded within Presenter. The way they set it up as that I can now send overall quiz results to one database table, and individual question results to another table. Also, unlike some of the work-arounds suggested in the forums, the data is sent to the database tables when the user clicks on any of the buttons on the results page.

Save yourself the hassle! PM or e-mail me and I will give you the name of the company. Since they already have the code developed, I'm sure they will make it available inexpensively. Working directly with them will also allow you to have it customized exactly as you want.

PS. The reason that I prefer not to simply upload the code here is that I neither have the competence nor time to provide technical support if you run into problems. It is much more effective if you deal directly with the experts.
