Quiz Results Will not launch| Finish Button does not work for flas

Hello,

The “print Results” and ‘finish’ buttons does not work for flash files for Quizmaker.

When I launch the file from my computer after publishing, or from my website after uploading through FTP, the “Print Results” and “Finish” buttons work.

 

However,  the “Print Results” and “Finish” buttons do not work for the flash file.

 

Unfortunately, the service that I use will actually only use the flash (.swf) file.

I also tested in on https://www.opensesame.com/

 

I tried this in IE9, Firefox, and AOL

I have already upgraded my Flashplayer, cleared my cache and everything else with IE as suggested by one of you very helpful staff members.

 

The quiz is set to allow the user to ‘review’ after completing the quiz. ( one of the suggestions from http://www.articulate.com/support/kb_article.php?product=qm2&id=3leks07g7644 )

 

Any suggestions?

Hi Denise

Quizmaker publishes a series of files which allows the presentation to progressively download elements that it needs to enable faster download and playback times, as well as ensure course functionality. So unfortunately, we don't support publishing to a single SWF file at this time. If you'd like to see this feature, you can submit a feature request here.

Thanks for responding.

I don't understand your response, however.

The issue is that the “PrintResults” and “Finish” buttons do not work when published in a LMS. ( The LMS uses the swf file).

When published from a regular website, I can link to either the html file or the swf file. The “PrintResults” and “Finish” button works for the html file but not for the swf file. If I was to base my assessment on this only, it suggests that if I use an LMS, which launches only from the swf file, my users will never be able to print their results. But I don't think that is the case.

Hi Denise, 

The issue is linking to the .swf file. That's something that isn't supported, and the reason is because we can't guarantee all of the functionality will work, as you're experiencing. This is verified by your test when linking to the .html file and the course works as expected. If your LMS only supports linking to .swf files, I'm not sure what you would be able to do as a workaround. Are you able to explore other LMSes? Here are a few open-source options for tracking quiz results:

Hi Denise.

For your content to work properly, it would need to be uploaded correctly. Here's a great article that should help you get started. The content will not track correctly if you are linking from an SWF file and the content will also not work correctly when linking from the SWF file. I don't know of an LMS that would work that way as the correct file that an LMS uses to initiate communication with Quizmaker content is index_lms.html.
