Quiz template -- All at once

Dec 28, 2011

When using the template Submit all at once, is there any way I can show the unanswered questions in the question list? When I try to submit, the flash file will warn me that I have questions that have not been answered yet but it doesn't tell me which one. Yes, I can go through the quiz one question at a time to find out, but I'm just wondering if there is an easier way. Thanks!

Hi David, and welcome to Heroes!

I think Jeanette has exactly what you're looking for right here:

By using Submit all at once, you'll lose the ability to "Display actual points awarded", but otherwise, let me know if that's what you had in mind...

Hi Peter,

Thanks for the answer but unfortunately it wasn't quite what I was looking for.

The quiz that I'm trying to design is more of an exam-type quiz. The user gets a certain amount of total time to complete a number of quiz questions. Here is my dilemma:

1. If I use Submit one by one, then after one answer is submitted the user cannot change her mind even though she still has time to finish.

2. If I use Submit all at once, as I mentioned in the original post, there is no way for her to review before submitting which questions she skipped.

If given the option between these two, I have to go with the Submit all at once, simply because it gives the user the option to go back and forth and change each answer if necessary until the she runs out of time. But it would be a nice help if there is a way to indicate in the question list which question has been answered and which has not, before it is submitted.

Hi David,

Thanks for clarifying what you're hoping to do. It's not currently possible, but I agree that the ability to see which questions have or have not been answered in the question list would make for a great feature request. I'd encourage you to go ahead and share your input here:

Thanks for the feedback, and good luck with the rest of the course!
