Quizmaker application font is too small

Jan 05, 2018

I've searched and can't find a solution.

So when I opened up my Articulate 13 programs today for some reason I had to reactive them. Ok so I did that.

Now, when I go in to create a quiz, Quizmaker ribbon, menu, etc is sooo small and I can't figure out how to enlarge. I can make the screen bigger but the menu text, ribbon, etc does not increase in size.

There isn't a zoom or slider option on the program that I can find. I tried Ctrl+ and that didn't work either. Any ideas?

Hi Greta,

Did you change any of your Windows resolution settings? You'll want to work with 100% or DPI of 96 for Quizmaker to display correctly and work as expected. On some high resolution monitors that can make things still appear fairly small - which is something we've changed in the latest versions of Storyline and Studio.

To update your DPI settings use these directions:

Here's how to switch to 96 DPI:

Windows 10

  1. Right-click your desktop and select Display settings.
  2. Click the Display tab in the upper left corner of the window that appears.
  3. Under Scale and layout, select 100% from the drop-down list.

You may be prompted to restart your computer for the change to take effect.

Windows 8.1

  1. Right-click your desktop and select Personalize.
  2. Click Display in the lower left corner of the window that appears.
  3. Drag the slider to Smaller.
  4. Click Apply.

You may be prompted to restart your computer for the change to take effect.

Windows 8

  1. Right-click your desktop and select Personalize.
  2. Click Display in the lower left corner of the window that appears.
  3. Select the 100% radio button.
  4. Click Apply.

You may be prompted to restart your computer for the change to take effect.

Windows 7

  1. Go to Start > Control Panel > Appearance and Personalization > Display.
  2. From the left navigation pane, select Set custom text size (DPI).
  3. From the Scale to this percentage of normal size drop-down list, select 100%.
  4. Click OK.

You may be prompted to restart your computer for the change to take effect.

Windows Vista

  1. Go to Start > Control Panel > Appearance and Personalization > Personalization.
  2. Select Adjust font size (DPI) from the left navigation pane.
  3. Change DPI Scaling to Default scale (96 DPI) - fit more information.
  4. Click OK.

You may be prompted to restart your computer for the change to take effect.
