Quizmaker Focus order?

Dec 07, 2022

Hello,

I am working on developing some assessments in Quizmaker and trying to make it accessible to people navigating with a keyboard potentially using a screenreader and I'm having trouble figuring out how the Focus Order works in Quizmaker. In Storyline there is that nice Focus Order button that makes it so easy, but I don't see a similar feature in Quizmaker. I manually was able to hide shapes and images from the keyboard navigation which helped, but I am still unable to figure out how to get the multiple choice question options to tab through in the correct order. Additionally, the review text is always the last thing in the tab order, after the navigation buttons (Prev/Next), which could be confusing for someone using a screenreader and they may not realize there is a review text since it brings them to the next button before it goes to the review text. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

I figured out the tab order for the multiple choice question answers was due to randomizing the answers. If i turn that off the multiple choice answers do have the correct focus order. I'd like both things to happen ideally. Is there a way to get the tab order to always go top to bottom, even with answers randomized? Still can't figure out how to adjust the focus order on the review layer too.

Hello Jonathan,

Thanks for reaching out!

Quizmaker 360 doesn't have the ability to define the focus order of the slides, but as you've already mentioned, this can easily be done in Storyline 360. Quizmaker 360 slides can easily be imported to Storyline 360 using the import function.

If you prefer to keep things inside Quizmaker 360, we recommend reaching out to our support team to have them look at the behavior you're experiencing.
