Hi there, Cindy. Quizmaker applies a glow effect for objects that are selected in Pick Many questions. The glow effect is related to the fill of the object. For shapes that have no fill, the glow won't show. Even if shapes have a high percentage of transparency, the glow will be very faint.
You can split this into 4 hotspot questions; a marker will appear where the user has clicked on the slide. Alternatively, Storyline 360 will give you more options when working with the selected states, including adding a mark to objects that are selected. You can import your existing quiz into Storyline 360 to reuse your content, too!
