I'm making a quiz in Quizmaker that I'll load into Cornerstone's LMS. I want the LMS to report question-by-question results (e.g., we need to know which questions the user got right and which s/he got wrong). How do I do this? Quizmaker's Publish function says only passed/failed/incomplete.
Can I leverage someone's experience to save myself some testing time and show me exactly which options to choose when publishing this to make it happen?
Quizmaker will send all reporting data to your LMS, including specific information on individual questions and answers. I'd recommend taking a look at this extremely useful article on troubleshooting Articulate / LMS issues:
In the article, you'll learn exactly what data Articulate sends to LMSes (how that data is reported is up to the LMS), as well as information on how to test your content on SCORM Cloud.
I know there are other community members who also use Cornerstone, so perhaps you can tap them for additional resources. I hope that's helpful!
Thanks, Peter, appreciate the reply. And happy holidays!
That post is very helpful - thanks for sending it along.
Do you know what settings we need to use in Articulate to get all that data from our Cornerstone LMS? Specifically, what SCORM version? And what do we set Reporting & Tracking to? The options all are more general (passed/incomplete; passed/failed; complete/incomplete; completed/failed) -- none of which seem to indicate that it'll capture all of the information on which questions were correct or not.
You'll see that it includes the student's response. Again though, it is up to your LMS to report that specific information, so you should try consulting with your LMS team to discuss the details of their report.
Here's a thorough article on the basics of publishing to an LMS, including a video tutorial:
I think your best move at this point would be to discuss the specifics of how you want your reports to perform with your LMS team, but please don't hesitate to come back here for any Articulate-related questions. Good luck!
So if I'm understanding you correctly, Articulate sends all the data about each question (http://www.articulate.com/support/quizmaker09/kb/?p=137) with every question, even if I choose in Reporting & Tracking? Is that correct? (If so, I guess at that point it's up to the LMS).
If all that's correct, is there a best practice for what to choose for Reporting & Tracking?
That's correct. And typically, you don't need to modify the Reporting and Tracking information unless you are actually having an issue with a particular field. I would try publishing first and adjusting later.
Regarding the default setting or using a different setting, it really depends on how your LMS interprets the tracking info we send. For example, if you want someone to only take a course once, regardless of whether they pass or fail, then you would just need to change the tracking to Passed/Failed. Passed/Incomplete should allow someone to retake a course until they pass, and there are instances where you don't want that to happen.
The only reason you might want to change passed to Complete would be if your LMS asked you to. Otherwise you should be fine leaving that as Passed.
I know this is an old post, but I'm curious as we are about to go live with Cornerstone, did you ever get this to work Dan?
(I'm asking here first instead of contacting Dan directly because I think it will be useful to other people interested in the answer to the question who find this thread by searching.)
Hi, Will -- Thanks for reaching out, and if by chance Dan doesn't respond, please feel free to go ahead and contact him using the 'Contact Me' link on his profile page, and feel free to share any updates here in the thread. :)

Hi Dan,
Here's a quick link that will show you the exact data Quizmaker will send to your LMS:

CSOD doesn't store Quiz Interactions. Global Product Support has directed me to use the Test Engine if I need that level of reporting.
Many thanks for stopping in to pass that along, Stephen, as it could be helpful to others who encounter this thread seeking assistance.
Hey Stephen, do you know if this is still the case with CSOD?
Seems strange for one of the world's leading LMSs to not have this capability.
Custom reporting now has this capability. You do have to publish using SCORM 2004. If you have access to the CSOD help pages, here is the relevant URL: https://help.csod.com/help/csod_0/OnlineHelp.htm#Reporting/Analytics/Custom_Reports_Project/Transcript_Report.htm?Highlight=scorm
Excellent Will, I'll look that up. Thanks.
