Quizmaker Question publish to Word

Mar 27, 2013

I know how to randomize and select set numbers of questions from different groups.  Is there a way to publish using the Word option, but only the randomized and selected number of questions?  When I publish to Word, I get all the questions.

A couple of the teams in my organization has a need for printed quizzes as the students won't have access to computers.

Thanks!

Hi Lisa,

When you publish the quiz, you're publishing all questions included in that quiz. So, even if you have the questions set to random and to only include a specific amount of questions, your entire quiz gets published. This is the same for any other publish method you use.

One option that may work for you, if you know which questions you wish to use, is to import the questions into a new quiz. Then, you could publish using those specific questions.

Take a look at this article for more information in importing existing questions:

I hope this helps!

It is a standard practice to create tests from a certain number of questions from each group. Quizmaker publishes the entire test bank. I can't believe they don't have the functionality to create tests based on the number of questions selected from each group. This should be obvious. Am I missing something?

Hi Tom!

Are you speaking of the issue when publishing to Word as well? I would advise that you utilize Christine's recommended method of importing the quiz you wish to print to another file if that is needed.

The interactivity of a course within Quizmaker is lost upon publish to Word and most utilize this function for print or review (in which, all questions is certainly helpful) - not for actually quiz taking.

Hi Lesli, I simply want to generate a test from a certain number of questions randomly selected from each group. This would be published to an LMS. I would think this should be standard functionality. I have over 80 groups and having to import questions from each of these groups every time I want to administer a test would be very tedious.
