Quizmaker: Unable to Find Option to Hide/Remove Question from Question List on Player

Jun 11, 2021

Hello, I haven’t worked with Quizmaker in several years and I am using what appears to be a recently updated version (V5.27.25041.0). My module contains three introductory non-question slides followed by 12 quiz questions, and I would prefer to remove the first three slide titles from the Question List. I believe past Quizmaker versions had functionality to hide or remove questions from the Question List; however, it does not appear to be an option on the current version. I look forward to hearing your suggestions.

Thanks.

Hello John!

Great question! To remove the slide titles from the Question List, open the Player and select Question List. Click the Remove from question list button (the eye icon) in the lower-left corner of the window.

Hidden slide titles become italicized in the editor, so it's easy to see which slides have been hidden. They’ll still be part of your published quiz; their titles just won't appear in the question list.

To unhide a slide title, select it and click the eye icon again.

Here's a quick screenshot of what this looks like in Quizmaker 360.

Hi Lauren,

Thanks for your quick response. I followed your instructions and the slide titles that I want hidden on the Question List are now italicized, however, they still appear on the Question List when I preview/publish the module (see attached screenshots). Please let me know if there’s anything else I should try to fix this situation. Thanks.

John

Hello John!

Thank you so much for this reply! Unfortunately, I see that we've logged this as a bug in Quizmaker 360, where the slides are still appearing in the Question List even when they're marked as hidden in the Player. I've linked this conversation to our report so that we can update you on any progress. Again, I really appreciate you taking the time to share this with us!
