I am trying to make a new quiz for a LMS and when I click Quizmaker, it starts as usual. I select Create New Quiz and then name the quiz. After that, it starts the open process, but before it can completely open, it goes away. I have the Quiz slide and when I click to edit the quiz, it can not find the file. I locate the file made, but it will not accept the file. It will however let me add an existing quiz from another LMS. I have Quizmaker 09.
It sounds like you're trying to create a new Quizmaker quiz through Presenter, is that right? If you open Quizmaker on its own, does the same thing happen?
Also, please make sure you're not including any special characters in the new quiz name:
Work on your local drive (your C: drive). Working on a network drive or a USB drive can cause erratic behavior, including file corruption, loss of audio, and other unexpected behavior.
You should also make sure the directory path to your project files and your published output is less than 260 characters (for example C:\Articulate).
Avoid using special characters, accents or symbols in your file names (this includes spaces and underscores).

If you can, try saving the file to a different directory (make sure it's local) and let me know if you see any improvement.
The LMS is on my local hard drive. When I make a quiz, I use Articulate option at the top of my tool bar and select quiz. I was able to open the Quizmaker file directly and add a new quiz that way, but I have never had to make a quiz this way. I do my LMS through powerpoint. Sometimes we use engage with regular powerpoint slides. This is the same way I make a quiz.
I totally understand - I just need to determine whether it's an issue with launching Quizmaker at all or if it only happens when you attempt to launch Quizmaker through the Articulate ribbon in Presenter/PowerPoint.
So, it sounds like this only happens when you use the Articulate ribbon, correct? If that's the case, it may be an issue with the installation.
