Quizzes: Why do I have so many issues?

Oct 28, 2014

I am stumped. A colleague created a quiz and has left. I'm trying to finalize it so I can publish the project. BUT, it's being quirky. For example...
1) Although I am permitting the user to view the answers upon reviewing the quiz, I don't want the "correct" and "incorrect" banner to show up on the screen, and I can't get it to go away.
2) If the user answers a question incorrectly, they can try again (up to 2 times). However, in the Review Quiz of the scene preview, a user can't get any further if they have chosen the incorrect question. Though it asks them to choose the correct answer to continue, the system won't let the user choose.
3) Lastly, if the user successfully passes the quiz and then hits Review Quiz, at the end of the review they land on the failure layer, not the success layer. And I can't figure out why and how to change this.

CAN ANYONE HELP with these issues? I attached the quirky quiz for reference.

Hi Sandra,

1) You won't be able to remove the banner entirely - although some other users have talked about ways to customize the review layer to hide it.

2 and 3) Some of your questions were using the slide property of "reset to initial state" and therefore on a revisit, it was resetting the question and the user would be scored incorrectly or not allowed to continue. That way they may end up on the failure layer as the quiz questions were being counted as not answered correctly.

Also, on some of your questions you have dual submit triggers - one for the submit button and one for the next button. The latter is unnecessary.

I also saw on a few of your questions the "incorrect" layer that is shown after the user has answered wrong twice, has an unassigned "jump to slide" trigger so that the user gets stuck on the slide.

I've attached an updated copy of your file with a few of the changes I've made.
