Retry Button Disable?

May 23, 2013

Is there any way to disable the retry button other than just allowing only one try?

I want them to go back through the lesson if they fail and then take the quiz again. If I set if for just once, when they get back to the quiz it only shows the Results page and does not let them take it again.

Welcome to E-Learning Heroes, Stephanie!

A little confused on why you'd want to disable the button, but still allow users to retry the quiz. Do you not like how the button is displayed, or would you rather have the user submit their answers until they get it right?

Maybe you could allow unlimited attempts per question and disable the retry feature, instead? This way, they won't be able to continue to other questions until they get their current question correct and they won't ever see the "Retry" button on the results slide.

If this doesn't work for you, can you share a little more information on how you envision the course?

Thanks!

The reason I don’t want them to immediately retry the quiz isthey have failed it. Educationally I want them to review the material againbefore I allow them to retry the quiz. I have it set that the Finish buttontakes them back to the point in the lesson where this material was taught. Iwant them to have to look at the lesson again before they retry the quiz.

Does this make sense?

Hi Stephanie,

Yes, that makes perfect sense :) So, you're branching the users to another slide so they can review the material again. Correct?

Are you wanting to do this entirely in Quizmaker? Sounds like you may have the quiz inserted in a Presenter presentation, but I just want to make sure.

I know this isn't really what you're trying to do, but it might be a good option for you:
