SCORM-compliant course not showing as complete in LMS

We recently upgraded our LMS after 10 years and I have two SCORM 1.2 compliant courses that will show as complete in the LMS about 70 percent of the time.  The other 30 percent requires my intervention as the administrator to complete the courses for the users.  Originally, I the last activity was to complete the quiz at 80% with reporting and tracking set at passed/incomplete.  I republished it using complete/incomplete with number of slides viewed to track progress and it still didn't fix the problem. 

Needless to say, this has been frustrating for all of us!

I wanted to test Brian's recommendation, but my published file doesn't have a presentation.xml. What is another name for the file where this data is stored?

In the threshold, do you see 38 or another number?

Mindy - If you, for example, publish to the web, you have to specify a local location on your computer. Once you get the 'Publish Successful' dialog box, you can click to open the folder from this box. From there, you should see a data folder, and the presentation.xml file should be there. I just tested to be sure with the file that you and I worked on together in your support case

Thanks for reaching out. I know you directed your question toward Brian and finding an output file, but I'm curious if we could back up a bit and understand the issue that you're running into so that we can help you out here.

This conversation is a bit dated, and it looks like you are using Articulate 360.

  • Are you having an issue specific to completion when using Quizmaker 360?
  • Are you able to replicate this issue in SCORM Cloud or is it limited to your LMS?

Are you seeing this same issue within SCORM Cloud as well or only within your LMS?

Hi Leslie,

I am seeing the same issue within SCORM Cloud too. I read on another thread that maybe it could be because I've removed some slides? It was a different presentation to start with, published on the LMS and working fine, and then instead of starting a new quiz in a new presentation, I used the same presentation and just changed the questions (as all the triggers were the same) but I did delete some of the slides.

UPDATE: I removed the original results slide and inserted a new one. I have uploaded to SCORM Cloud, tried it out and it works!
