Sending a quiz for review

Jan 16, 2013

Hi. I'm new to Quizmaker and just created my first quiz. I want to send the file to a couple co-workers to have them take a look at it. I sent them the zipped file, but it doesn't work for them. What am I doing wrong? Do they have to have Quizmaker, too? I assumed it would open in their web browser since I published it as a web file. I'm sure the answer is obvious, but help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi Ceci. Welcome to the community!

It sounds like you sent them the published output in a zipped file, is that right? If they're viewing that content locally, they may be running into some restrictions. It's best to upload the content to a web server, or LMS, if possible. If you have no access to a web server or LMS, you could always try uploading to Articulate Online. There's a free trial, as well.

They won't need to have Quizmaker to view the content, but you will need to make sure the method you're using to show the content will work properly.

Here's a little more information about viewing local, published content:

If you view a published Studio '09 presentation on your local hard drive or send it to someone else to view on their local hard drive, you'll encounter security restrictions from the computer, web browser, Flash Player, and network that'll cause various features of your content to fail.
To properly test your published content and share it with others, upload it to the environment for which it was published. Please review the following article for details:
