shot myself in the foot

Sep 11, 2013

I have a lesson with two branches.

One branch has two quizzes that must be passed to proceed.

If you take the lesson through the branch without the quizzes it throws up a message to the effect that you need to pass the quiz.

Should I simply "disarm" the quizzes to avoid this problem?

Hi Pete,

The file did upload here - so hopefully that doesn't set off any alarm bells within your company.

The file that you shared only has a set of quiz questions, nothing else like the lesson you mentioned, so it's confused me a bit as to how you have your course set up. Are you deploying this as a standalone Quiz - or as a part of a Presenter or Storyline course?

One thought within the Quiz player properties is to change it to "Submit all at once" and "Allow user to submit quiz without answering all questions" - that way if they don't answer the particular two questions you're talking about, they'll still be able to complete the quiz. You may need to adjust your passing score if this is the case though.
