I’m working in Quizmaker 13, I would like to just give them one try. If incorrect just say “Try Again”, and then if they’re wrong again show the correct answer with explanation.
Is this possible or do they need to click on the right answer to get the correct feedback?
This would be possible utilizing the Feedback by Question as explained here. You can set your number of attempts and the Try Again feedback would show if they got it wrong the first time, and the Incorrect feedback would show the next time and it could include the information about what the correct answer should have been.
